Williams Douglas William Muir To Wed In New Mexico LAS CRUCES, N.M., June Mr. and Mrs. Dewey A. Williams, 1818 W. Amador, Las Cruces, N.M., announce the en-gagement of their daughter, Janice Ellanette to Douglas William Muir, son of Mr.

Elliott Completes Her Wedding Plans FULTON, June 1-Miss Sheri Lou Elliott, whose engagement to Stanley Mark Jetfress was recently announced, is today revealing her completed plans for her wedding. Miss Elliott is the niece of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Donald Cherry of Fulton and Mr. Jeffress is the son of Mr.

and Mrs. Morey Roper Jeffress, also of Fulton. The double-ring ceremony will 'be solemnized at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, June 3, in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas W. Rose officiating.

A program of nuptial music will be given by Miss Jane McDonald, organist of Cadiz, and Miss" Debely Mathis of Bardwell, soloist. Miss McDonald and Miss Mathis are both sorority sisters of the bride. The bride will be given in marriage by her uncle, S. D. Cherry.

She has chosen her cousin, Mrs. Harold Wayne 1 McFarland of Cincinnati, Ohio as matron-of-honor. The bridesmaids will be Miss Patricia Lynn Elliott, sister of the bride, and Miss Cathy Campbell, Miss Margaret Omar, Miss Carol Ann Davis of Louisville and Miss Linda Deevers of Paris, all sorority sisters of the bride. Miss Christie Lee Barber, niece of the groom, will be the flower girl, and Jeff Barber, nephew of the groom, will bel the ring Philip Wade Jeffress of Lexington, will serve his brother as best man. DUAL WINNER-Karen Sue Rambo, Lone Oak High School graduate, has won a $100 scholarship from the Lone Oak Elementary PTA based partially on high scholastic standing. at the Jaycee Civic Center. A band from Indianapolis, the Boys Next Door, will provide the music. Tickets may be purchased from any sorority member or at the door for $2.50 per couple. Dress for the ball is "coat and tie" and the rule is "couples only." The theme of the dance, "Sambiki Summer Splash," will be carried out in the decorations of large paper flowers and balloons in a splashy orange-red-pink color scheme. The dance chairman, Miss Jo Anna Phipps, had to say of the decorations, "We're hoping to create the vibrant, loud, and hot mood of Serving with Miss Phipps on the committee in charge of decorations are Misses Jackie McKeown, Suzanne Lamb, Nancy Backus, and Susan Skiba.

Sorority president Miss Caroline Turner summed up the feelings of the girls, "This dance means a great deal to a lot of people. Lone Oak Class Of 1951 Plans June 10 Reunion The class of 1951 at Lone Oak High School will hold its 16th anniversary reunion on Saturday, June 10, at the Community Center in Noble Park. It will be a picnic pot luck for the graduates and their families, starting at 4 p.m. Each 1 family is asked to bring its own food, beverage, and utensils, and each graduate of 1951 is also asked to bring any old photos of himself or other students taken while he attended Lone Oak High. The presentation came at at the annual Alumnae dinner for MSCW seniors. She will use the funds for graduate study in languages. Miss Thomas has been accepted by the University of Wisconsin where she will have an assistantship. At MSCW, where she was selected for Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities, she was selected for Golden Key, national eral arts honor society, and Phi Kappa Phi, national scholastic honor society. She was president of the MSCW language house, a dormitory where only foreign language is spoken, and was president of Sigma Delta Pi, Spanish honorary.

She also served on the senate and judicial council. Miss Thomas recently won honorable mention in the 1966-67 Woodrow Wilson fellowship competition. She was the only student nominated by the faculty to gain this distinction. DAV Official Will Assist Veterans Elmer Brien, service officer for the Disabled American Veterans, will be here Saturday to help DAV veterans file claims and other matters.
